Workshops / Training Seminars
This event will take place July 17, 2018 in Spokane, WA.
The Public-Private Partnerships (P3) Workshop for Planners is hosted in conjunction with the AASHTO Committee on Planning at the AASHTO Joint Policy Conference: Connecting the DOTs in Spokane, WA. The workshop is intended to provide a forum for planners to discuss how to apply P3 concepts in the planning context.
The workshop will offer a general understanding of P3 as an alternative project delivery method, with a focus on addressing topics at the intersection of P3 and planning. The workshop begins with a brief presentation to establish a common vocabulary and working knowledge. Then, attendees will participate in facilitated conversation, providing the opportunity to understand how to apply P3 in a DOT environment. Guest speakers will describe case studies and "real world" examples that will help planners understand the basics of P3 implementation.
